Masked man allegedly shot after exchange of gunshots with Police

An anonymous but reliable source, is alleging to Caribbean Times this morning, the Antigua and Barbuda Police encountered a masked man in the Grayhill area. It is also being alleged that there was an exchange of gunshots. It is believed that that the man was shot during the encounter sometime around 3:00 in the early morning hours. Sources believe that the man was shot in Tindale Road, but ran up in the Grayhill area.

Men from the Rapid response Unit and SSU are said to be on the ground searching for the masked assailant. More than one source reported that Police was locked in a meeting on Sunday afternoon strategising, but the extent of that meeting was said to have been kept secret and undisclosed up to this time.

High ranking police officials are said to be in the Grayhill and nearby areas as the search continues for the likely injured man. As one would expect, there is increased activity at the Grays Farm Police Station and at Police Headquarters including the presence of the high command. Sources indicate that there are no injuries to the officers.
