Jess St. John continues to shine

Carifta silver medalist, 2012 Junior Female Sportswoman of the year and National shot put record holder, Jess St. John, continues to make great lengths in the javelin and shot put arena at Morgan State University. Since attending Morgan State in early January of this year, St. John has competed in a number of track and field events throughout the district and placing in the top four.

Jess has achieved a new personal best of 15.68 metres at the Florida Relays to break the school’s record. She was later named the Student Athlete for the month of March at Morgan State. St. John, who always sports an Antiguan flag before competitions, sets her sights in dominating the shot put and javelin events. She one day hopes to represent her country at the Olympics. Jess is performing well, and the people ofAntigua and Barbuda will want to wish her the best.
